CBT

A guide to your Compulsory Basic Training

What is it?

CBT was introduced in 1990 to try and reduce the number of accidents to first time riders and it has been working well ever since. Its a basic compulsory course intended to keep you safe on the road.

You can do your CBT anytime from the age of 16 on a 50cc, or if you are 17 and over you can use one of our geared Benelli 125s, although you can do it on a twist and go Honda Vision if you want to. The only condition is that you have a current licence or provisional licence, a willingness to have fun and positive attitude.

Ask about our TWO TOGETHER or SPLIT DAY CBT’s – these are ideal if you want to train with a friend or partner or can only get a half day off of work.

CBT TIME

Generally takes about 6- 7 hours
